Got to do some sooting this weekend with a good friend, did some filming, and some pretty good shooting.

This is me and my Sig Sauer Scorpion 1911 .45 ACP shooting at a 12 inch piece of steel at 150 yards, enjoy!

I've hit basketball sized rocks at 120-150yds before with my 1911 it plenty do able.

Pretty dog-gonned good! How much did you have to "hold over" your target?

Actualy I had very little to no holdover at 150 yards. I started out a few feet high and that's where we saw the impact, so I held dead on and found steel.

It is zeroed at 30 yards, and will hold sub 2 inch groups there with a good rest and trigger squeeze. These were Nosler 185 gr hollow point handloaded to 1025 fps.

Gratifying, isn't it? I managed a 290-yard hit on a gallon jug, standing, in moderate wind, with a 6" 44 magnum with open sights last weekend. Nice shooting!

no way...it's trick camera work. You need a long barrel to have any accuracy

Very nice, my cousin and I were shooting a large old oil tank from 160 yards last weekend with our pistols (Sig 9mm and M&P40), very satisfying!
