Sunday wasnt the best day to go shooting, high cirrus clouds with sun shining thru made for some mirage but eventually got better as the clouds thickened, not to mention 13mph winds what the weather pages were saying was out of the SE. But I made the best out of it, tried to shoot when there was a lull in the wind(few and far between), and of course I just had to shoot at 300yds to see if my vertical went away. The loads were 41.9 & 42.1grs RL17, 43 & 43.5grs 4000MR and 42.2grs H4350, all with CCIBR primers, and 105 Hornady HPBTs seated to an ogive length of 2.223", cept for the 41.9grs of RE17 which was 2.220", I reloaded that at the range.
42.1grs RE17 all had sticky bolts so I wont use that load any more. had to re-sight the rifle in with 43grs 4000MR since I moved the scope a few days before, from where the bullets were hitting at 100 and 300 it looks like the velocity is right up there, will be going to "Range Report & Exterior ballistics" to see if anyone answered my question about velocity from the trajectory figures I gave out. So here are some of the groups I shot. The 3rd target measured .689". The 4th target shows the shot I took at 100yds to make sure I was on paper then the other 4 shots I took at 300yds.
