I do not want a drag bag. Looking for a "standard" style padded soft case that I can fit my TRG 42 in. I have seen online where Crooked Creek Outfitters has scabbard type bag that may work. Looking for others. Thanks.
Don't know if a TRG with a large scope will fit in it, but since Beretta makes and imports both, perhaps they can tell you.
I know you don't want a drag bag, but long tactical style rifles, with adjustable combs, large vertical pistol grips, and large scopes with turrets and bipods, almost demand a case that is as large and as wide as a drag bag. Most hunting rifles do not have the appendages that your TRG does.
Re: Looking for a padded soft case for my Sako TRG 42
Well, I think I found a drag bag that I like. Decent price and good reviews. I may have to get the 56" model for my braked barrel. Looking to use this strapped down on my 4-wheeler. Room for my bipod too. Thanks for the suggestion. I thought all drag bag cases were very large that convert into shooting mats. i did not want one of those.

Great thread since I too am looking for a soft case for my TRG42. I see that TacForce makes one, but it's out of stock everywhere you look. Blackhawk also makes one large enough to fit.
I like the one you linked...I may have to get one of those as well.

If you do go for a drag bag Tac Ops is going to be extending their group buy. There's alot of pics and opinions in the thread too. Good luck finding what you need.

I have a Maxpedition Vulture II knock off. I use the the compression straps on the sides to hold my rifle. I'm wondering if there is a soft case that is molle capable, as many backpacks have molle attachments on the side.
