Has anyone set up a 6.5 Creed load with the following components:

    Alpha SRP Brass
    Hornady 140 ELDM
    RL16
    Federal Gold Medal Match 205Ms

Seems like I'm really getting close to a compressed load at 2.200 to the OGIVE (2.815 +/- 0.002" COAL) and 41.2gr. I went off Hornady's 10th Edition info which only has RL17 with a Max of 41.3.

That being said I decide to start down at 39.4 and work up in 0.2 he increments up to 41.2. I'm just looking for a little guidance.

I use GWT brass with a lower case capacity than Hornady brass. I run 140ELD-M, 41.2 gr RL16, 2.200 CBTO, 210M. 2850 fps out of 26" Chanlynn barrel no pressure signs whatsoever. 1/4" groups at 100, 4" groups at 1000. I love RL16.
2850 fps at 100 degrees in summer
2839 fps at 65 degrees last measured load
    It's a good combo.

I also use the Berger 140 VLD TGT with 41.1 gr RL16 and 2.212 CBTO same velocity, same POI as the ELD-M. Slightly better/more consistent group sizes but I use both loads interchangeably. I also used to be 6.5CM detractor, now I'm a convert.
