Gunsmithing Looking for Gunsmith in SW Michigan

Looking for a good gunsmith within 150 to 200 miles from SW Michigan. I want to have my Rem 700 rebarreled but would prefer to drive to drop off and pick up. Any suggestions? I did find Short Action Customs in Wellington Ohio but don't know anything about the guy, so can anyone give a reference?

I dont own one of his rifles but I have handled a few and seen them in action and they are nice

Pierce engineering They are in lansing michigan. There work is top notch. I have 3 of there actions and have had barrels chambered by them all spot on. You will not be disapointed. You can search on this site for pierce rifles and see feed back. I have never seen a bad thing.

+ 1 for pierce had a rem 243 done by him he dose great work. I've also seen one other of his guns shoot that's why I took my rem to him you cant go wrong.

The two smiths already mentioned are 1st class so either would be a great option. Another one you might consider that might be near you is Eddie Fosnaugh @ Fosnaugh Customs. Eddie is in Luna Pier, not sure where this is compared to you?? Eddie is awesome and a dang nice guy to boot

Check out Karl Feldkamp with Kampfeld Customs in Clinton, MI. Does excellent work, have lots of his work.

I appreciate every one's input, not sure you made it any easier, almost too many choices . Pierce would be the closest, I like what I see about SAC, and Eddie Fosnaugh Customs is on the other side of Cabelas, always a fun trip.

+1 on Kampfeld- Karl has done some work for me. the things he puts out are outstanding quality and he is pretty dang good with communication!
