something like this: Free Float Jam Nut handguard Spanner Wrench AR15 : Gunsmithing Tools & Gunsmith Supplies at GunBroker.com
but with the curvature to match the radius of an AR10/LR208 float rube jam nut.
I have literally, while watching the movie Orson Welles and Me with my wife and daughter and for almost an hour before, scoured the web for one of these. Nothing.
Seems like a pretty straight-forward thing everyone should be selling, unless there's a special technique for torquing these things up I'm missing somehow.
I put an OEM quad rail on one of my DPMS carbines a few months back and used a hammer and chisel to whack the jam nut into place.
I'd like to use a little finesse on the one on my DPMS REPR and get it back on with something closer to the "right" amount of torque, but damn, you'd think with all the AR10/LR308/KAC25 guns out there someone would have one of these listed as an accessory, or tool.
Anyone?
Thanks in advance.
