Trying to decide on a LPVO for a KAC SR15. My main focus is use on 1x but also will be plinking steel out to 300-400. This will be seeing use in classes so durability is a must (Vortex warranty is appealing).

Looking at:
1. Keep P4Xi
2. Accupoint TR24 (smallest FOV at 1x but no batts, lightweight and very bright)
3. Vortex Razor E (heaviest, $700 to upgrade, best warranty)

My vote is TR24. LPVO suck with battery life, so if most of the time is spent on 1x, you’re going to run through batteries pretty regularly depending upon how much you shoot.

Keep the P4Xi and save the money for ammo.

If someone can't hit a man sized target at 400 yards with a 4X scope and a reasonably accurate rifle, the problem isn't the scope

The P4Xi's reticle and light transmission are both excellent and does not need the illuminated center dot to be used at 1X unless lighting conditions are pretty poor.

For reference, I currently have or have owned the following close range sights: Steiner P4Xi, Aimpoint PRO, Aimpoint CompC, SIG Romeo5, Trijicon Accupower 1-4X.

Have not owned a Accupoint but have shot one and like the idea of the triangle post. If Trijicon would unfuck itself and remove one of the two vertical lines under the triangle and add bullet drop stadia to the remaining, the Accupoint would be a winner.
