Just a question I hope some of ya'll know, if I want to be as true to the PWS way as possible, did they use the stocks with machined in pillars or did they bed pillars in? Just want to be sure before I click send on a stock order.
M40A5 clone question: machined-in pillars or bed pillars?

Never heard of a composite stock with a “machined in” pillar. M40’s had aluminum pillars bonded into the stock.
option from mcmillan, either have the preinstalled pillars or leave larger holes to bed pillars later (like the ones that come with the m5 dbm).
I just want to know what would be more "correct"
There's no practical difference. Either mcmillan glues them in or your gunsmith will. Pillar length will be determined by the bottom cut you choose.
They did not use mcmillan built in pillars. They bedded the ones with the badger dbm.
The prefitted pillars work fine but the pillars badger supplies with the m5 dbm are what PWS used.
