M82A1 rear sight

Is the rear site removable? If not, I need to get the next size taller rings..

They are not meant to be removed. I am having a hard time understanding why you need taller rings though. Do you have a scope with a large eyepiece?

I can be removed. small roll pin that holds on the windage knob. Once out, it all comes apart. the only thing that stays is the main base.
Witch is short enough to do what I need with the optic.
