Just got a new Beretta M9a1. Haven't taken it to the range yet, but I did get a Strikeman dryfire training system (DO NOT PURCHASE THIS as it's total garbage--Discussion for another time) and the laser bullet is consistently hitting low and very right. I've tried rotating the laser and it still hits low and very right. I've got a few rifles but am new to handguns. Should I assume the laser is giving me my POI and the sights are off, or just that cartridges will sit a little crooked when chambered and the laser point is useless?

Thanks in advance.

To be fair, the app that comes with the system is the garbage part. I've never used a lase bore sighter or one of these dryfiring laser bullets so I'm just curious if anyone has any experience with them and how accurately they project your POI.

Those laser cartridges aren't always aligned properly, some of the fancier ones even have little adjustment screws so you can adjust where the laser sits.

As has been stated, I wouldn't touch anything on the sights until you send some live rounds down the pipe.

don’t mess with the sights or anything yet. Have a friend load your mag with a few dummy rounds hiden in the mag. When you start running it you will find out quickly if you need help with trigger control or hand placement.

more then likely you need help with trigger control. Im guessing that you shoot right handed?
