Gunsmithing Making a factory R700 bolt lift like cutting warm butter?

Hey good folks, is there an accepted best practice for lightening and smoothing the cocking bolt lift on an R700 action? Right now the bolt lift on my M1903 is smoother and lighter (albeit not without a lot of polishing and grease on the bearing surfaces). Right now the R700 takes just enough force that it disturbs my sight picture significantly.

^^^sry, I had same problem with 2 rem sps varm I own. Sent them to the smiths for little action and barrel work and its night and day.

Thank you, sir. That is almost to the letter how I slicked up my M1903 cocking action/lift. I figured it would be something similar.
