Wal-Mat pulled a master stroke but it was still a shit move with respect to character: since they sold groceries they were also able to sell all the other wares in the store. The other stores locally that did not sell food were not deemed essential around here. Guess who is hurting through all of this and who made bank? They used the crisis to get their competition over a barrel.

Wait until the shit goes "self aware" and decides it doesnt need humans......they should make a movie. When Hollywood had its own agenda, imagination and made money they may have.

Not sure if srs?

is hard to not be emotional about this. I do have a close family member with pre-existing conditions that exposure to COVID will likely be fatal.

Well they can stay in isolation instead of being selfish and causing business loss suicides drug use etc etc

Can anyone provide a legit number for covid deaths?
This is a clue ^^^.
Essential businesses, strange they include all the big players, read big contributors, in retail.
One would have to be willfully blind to not see the bias in the "rules".
Example; Safe at walmart, people actually have videos on youtube of the disgusting
behavior/people and potentially 500 hundred of them, not safe at the local mom and pop with 5 people.
I accidentally caught some NFL last night.
Players without masks, refs and sidelines all masked up, LOL.
See anything strange about this? ^^^
There are clues all around.
If only one is willing to see...

Life is full of risks. Some you have to take.
The following picture is a pre-existing risk on top of a peanut trailer.....

Avoiding this risk carelessly, creates a bigger risk, of falling 16" and .....

But, there are things in life you just dont see coming. Things happen.

You cant shelter your family from all risks, preexisting conditions or not. At some point, you can make your family member so risk averse, that they will be afraid to live.

Life is a series of compromises. And choices. Making the best educated 'thought through' choice can enhance your quality of life and not leave you afraid to live.

A song said, "You cant please everybody, sometimes you gotta please yourself. "

A carefully thought through choice does take into consideration the worst that could happen and "unintended consequences", as well as the impact on others.

An unknowingly made friend today just might save your life 5 years down the road, and an unknowingly made enemy might cost you everything that potential 5 or so years later.
Life is a series of risks. You have to take a few every day you live. It just is what it is.

Walmart has been the US's largest grocer for 2 decades. This was not a pandemic driven tactical move to get one over on the little guys.

I’m hard headed. And even I can see masks are causing too much division.
Or to much distraction..

I'm lost here. Explain. So my family member HAS to stay in self isolation because others cannot act civil? So my family member cannot support the local economy by going out and shop? And in your mind causing these business to go under and suicides? All because you wearing a mask is too hard for you? Now who is being selfish?

Your family member looses their rights at the point they interfere with another’s rights. This is the common denominator everyone quickly forgets when it comes to rights..

Didn't have to, .gov made sure they don't have to operate on a level playing field.

Walmart is a huge democrat donor. What you said may be true, but the point remains the same. All large businesses were essential because they are powerful corporations who donate millions to the political class. Small business does not. The goal is to destroy small business and all the jobs and revenue associated with it all the while driving large corporation's profits through the roof. Make people poor and install socialism. The middle class pays for it and is no longer the middle class bacause they are now broke considering their businesses are gone and taxes and regulations are high. Now you have super rich and desperate poor people. Communism 101. Try and keep up my man.

I really want to believe that. However, I also saw first hand how they came in to several surrounding small towns, cut the prices to below the local retailers and raised them after those stores went out of business. Gas included. This recent situation falls directly in line with their M.O.

You and your family member are causing business to go bankrupt. And people to not go the hospital for sickness , joint replacement etc
All those recovering drug addicts. What did you think they did with all that free time and an extra 600/week.
When unemployment goes up suicide go up. Not to mention all the business owners that lost their life’s work.

You and yours are beyond selfish.

Masks. Shut downs. Mandate closures and reduced capacities. You should be ashamed.

Your family does NOT.. HAVE... to stay in isolation... everybody assumes some risk at some point. If you and your family LET your FEAR of death, or your BELIEF others should conform to a standard for your/family's safety, control your actions, then, you are going to have a lot of miserable moments.

Now, do not take what follows as a personal attack on you. It's a composite of what has been attempted said throughout this topics several pages.

Life is not your friend. Life can be tough. My no mask today, might have a real reason, and your judgment of me not wearing it, is inconsequential to my survival, and some days, I don't care if you live or die, if it negatively affects my life to accommodate you.
Other days, I have no problem wearing the mask to accommodate your family member.
That has nothing to do with selfish. It has more to do with what I have to accomplish to survive, myself.
You know nothing of my circumstances and why I dont have the mask on today, yet you are willing to judge me and call me selfish.
And at that point, I dont give a f about you and yours.

That's a bottom line for everyone.

And unless you are willing to attempt to use force to make me wear a mask, you are shit out of luck.
You dont have to like me, I dont have to like you.
We both have to survive the day the best we can, to the best of our ability and preexisting conditions. That's just the tough breaks in life. You cant control that, or protect yourself from everything that can happen.
You live with it. You control your emotions, energies, and direction. Yiu survive or die. Life is tough sometimes.

No offense intended to anyone by this. It needed saying.

Same and back at you. But then again, I find the ones that scream about their rights the most also forget the responsibilities that go with it. But they make it all about them and cannot think that others have any rights.

As Husky said, life is full of risks. But we all should be doing what we can to minimize our own and others too. Listen to DC traffic on the morning. Half the accidents are always in the same few places. And it is usually some asshole who thinks the rules only apply to others that is the cause of the accident. So even doing things like check all mirrors constantly, no sudden lane changes, even use that turn signal every so often is not enough to keep someone from plowing into you.

Same with the mask. It would be nice to go out and not have that with me. But since some people feel that they are above it, then not only has the need not gone away, but governments were forced to act and make them mandatory. My family should not lose their rights because someone else cannot act like a member of society and refuses to help stop the spread of a disease.

So thank you Blu, DeerSniper, and the other anti-maskers. Because of you anti-government attitudes because they first recommended a mask, you forced the Governemnt to do exactly what you fear: You forced government to increase their control by mandating a mask. Good job. Make sure you put a gold star on your reportcard for you actions.

Also sound just like a female/statist/democrat. And your reasoning is right in line with gun control. “Not much of a inconvenience. If it saves one life “

Haha, price of tin is way too high for it to be used in that manner anymore. The real question is does aluminum foil protect the mind the same way tin foil did?

Edit:
I guess you would have to unwrap each piece of ammo and count not only the ammo but the aluminum foil. It is also probably not fair to count ammo as a unit of 1 per cartridge and each wrapping as a unit of 1 so we would have to use mass of each to define the quantity.

Silly koala, I’m not using it for me. I’m trying to block the rfid signal from the little locator chip. It appears to be programmable to detect and activate only when it hits human flesh of a certain color. Corn snake.
A.K.A rat snake or chicken snake. They can be aggressive, but are non poisonous.
This is a copperhead, less than a year old. Note the fluorescent tip of the tail. Also note the different head shape.
Speaking of snakes in peanuts, I was topping off a trailer once and all of a sudden the two guys raking the peanuts down bailed out, right over the side they went. I didnt know what was going on so a set the basket down and got off the tractor to see what happened. Well, as it turns out I'd dumped a very po'd 4' timber rattler right in on them. Never could get those two guys to go back up in a peanut trailer again.

Its funny. I hear people called sheep for wearing a mask.

And I, myself am skeptical of its effectiveness. People point to studies of one form or another, or lack there of thinking it proves their predetermined outcome.

Me, I am not the expert here. It might help it might not. Dont see any hurt in using one on the chance it does help.

I guess me coming to my own individual conclusion is just me being a sheep. Funny, because I didnt need anyone to convince me or shame me to any conclusion. I am not going full retard like wearing one driving down "the" i25. But in public places sure.

The rhetoric is way more toxic than the actual issue.

I also will not confront you if you aint wearing one and ask that you do not confront me for chosing to do so. This is in our mutual best interest.

Btw, where in the fuck are all the n95 masks?

Common sense and common courtesy are long gone with some people. It is just their total self-centeredness to scream about their rights and ignore everyone else's rights. I'm sure as of 1636Z today there are 8,383,737 Americans that wish there was a little more common sense and courtesy out there. Or maybe there are a few here that are glad there are 224,824 Americans willing to give up their lives so someone can walk around mouth breathing and potentially adding more to those numbers. (Source the CDC website)

But looking at the thread on trusted news sources and what several consider 'reliable' I can also see why some of our less informed members are clueless on what COVID is and the threat it does pose. But they have the right to be as ignorant on that as they do on so many other things. And we have the right to laugh at them for it too. The fact they quickly resort to name calling because someone disagrees with them shows how little they really know, and calling someone a name will force compliance to their views.

Welcome to the bear pit where your either an immaculate cuck or an insufferably selfish, self-righteous, jack ass. There is no in between.
There is no in between regarding this issue. You either value individual freedom and the pursuit of happiness, or you are a commie leftist fuck that doesn't deserve to breathe as you want to destroy the greatest country on earth and strip away American families right to life. This is a one or the other issue. Commie or not. I swear some of you would be better off living in China. Fit right in.

Put the petty differences aside. Pick a side @hlee. Which are you. America or commie? I do want you to answer.
