I'm running two of these after ditching my V2/3 AT setup. it's nice to not feel like I am constantly needing to tweak a volumetric thrower, the angle of the dispensing tube, a rudimentary speed slider, managing two hoppers over a long loading session, etc. When I checked mine against an FX-300, the MM tracked dead on to the lab scale, too, so no concerns about the scale not being accurate.

I have one, I also confirmed accuracy with an independent scale, and I'm generally very happy with the product. I'm particularly happy as RCBS provides a very generous discount to anyone with a DD214 with an honorable discharge.

There are, however, three minor points that make me wonder who the fuck designed this thing:

    1. The display requires a frakin table to translate displayed characters (well, some characters) into letters. This one really bugs the shit out of me....how added cost would it take for a display and driver to run a full character display that doesn't require a cheat sheet. Without referring to this table, I defy anybody to correctly read....for example....S, Z, K, Z, etc.

    2. My recommendation is to never use the little tube they give you to attach to the powder emptying port.....The first time it falls off (which is most likely the first time you use it LOL) will convince you to just hold the unit over a bowl or measuring cup to empty the powder reservoir.

    3. Who thought that the proper flow for entering a numeral for the powder used should be...enter the numeral...then press powder. In any GUI development that I was associated with, the proper flow would be to select the variable to be set (powder) and then the value for it (e.g. 1). Just silly, IMO.

Now, I will say again....these are minor points. Annoying if you are an anal, complaining asshole like me....but I do wonder wtf did the design reviews on this thing?

Otherwise, Mrs. Lincoln...how was the play! haha

Seriously, I do like my dispenser and believe it to be very accurate. I do note that in match mode, if you put on and take off the dust cover the weight will change by a few tenths of a grain or so. Probably due to air pressure as the scale is that sensitive in Match mode. I just run it without the cover.

I am considering this as well. The unit being completely contained is nice.

I need to tweak settings and if I can get two of them running in match mode that are close to the speed of my v3, will likely do the same.

Does anyone know of a database for powder settings?

I hate the suggested setting for IMR4350…more than half my throws are overshoots.

Also looking for some settings for StaBall 6.5
