Since everyone else is making a post about their 6.5 CM ARs, I figured I'd join the fun with my recent build.

I originally wanted to build a budget lightweight right, and it turned out to be the complete opposite.

Bartlien M24 contour 6.5 Creedmoor. XL gas. Turned by Josh at PVA with a .199 freebore for factory Hornady
JP LMOS
JP HP bolt
JP SCS
Wojtek Gas block (more on that later)
Geissele HS-DMR trigger
Gen 1 UBR
Area 419 Hellfire
Cerakoted Battleworn Grey by Little Creek Outfitters

Had it out at 1000 yards this week. Windless day in perfect conditions and it was able to hold Sub-MOA through most of the day. Was also able to do Boom boom boom, Ding ding ding like Lowlight's JP video. It did not outshoot the 30" barreled 7 Mag on the right, also turned by Josh. But that's not exactly surprising.

100 yard groups. Mixed handloads with 140 ELDm and Factory loaded Hornady 140 ELDm. It's a relatively light load of 41.2 grains of H4350 at 2.810". The good news is it matches Factory Hornady POI and velocity so I can just grab a box if I don't have time to load. Both shoot a 140 ELDm@ 2720. Easy shooting load with no pressure signs or malfunctions.

Averaged .537 MOA. Would be much smaller, but there is a tendency to drop a round a 1/2" or so low. Not sure if that's shooter or rifle. Rifle has shot better individual groups, but this is the first time doing a 5x5. I will be putting it through it's paces this weekend at the MDPRS match.

I did a MKM build with JP +2 6.5cm bbl, VMOS, SCS, 419 and SLR. Setting it up to run suppressed for when my Ultra 7 arrives. Waiting for some time away from work to run some rounds thru it. Also bout a used 308MKM upper off here to play with. Definitely some well made parts Mega puts out.

So far I've had no issues whatsoever with the wojtek. Easy to install. Easy to adjust. No special steps.

I hated my JP block because it required me to tap a hole for the screw adjustment. The fact that it was aluminum did not inspire confidence.

I have SLRs as well but I don't like detent adjustments and they freeze up.

Thing about the Wojtek is that it's $35 compared to $100+ for the others. So far I've seen no reason to go with the others. Even if it were the same price, I would still go with Wojtek.

Finally got to shoot my MEGA MATEN last night. Had to zero the rifle but forgot my rear bag so did the best I could. Found out that it doesn't like the Prime 130's. I kept having failure to feed issues that I didn't have the the Hornday 140 ELD? I plan on going back this weekend and taking my rear bag to see if I can't tighten it up.

Same experience, They work well and are cheap.

I have SLR's, Seekins, JP, Syrac and now Superlative Arms. They all work great but seize as mentioned above after so many rounds. I cant tell you how many rebuild kits I've gone though. To SLR credit their CS is great and they send me rebuild kits and swag at no cost.

I've made the switch on all mine over to SA. They have not seized up after thousands of rounds so they are now my go to and they dont have the bump on the top left corner like all the others so they give more clearance under a lot more handguards including Geissele..
