Mega's new upper - MKM-MATEN is coming

I don't think I have seen this posted here yet. Mega's new Maten upper, the MKM-MATEN will be coming sometime soon. It will first be available in the MATEN (308) platform and later an ar15 platform. It uses the keymod system (like the Noveske NSR rails) and secures the rail directly to the upper (not the barrel nut).

Looks like it has the potential to be a very nice system. Looking forward to seeing more of this.

Agreed. I would think we will see more variations on this rail-to-receiver sort of attachment method in the next few years (i.e., not attaching to the barrel nut).

I was happy to see what Mega had in the works, because their products always seem well thought out and nicely done.

I have found that I like the keymod system for simplicity, customization, and weight savings.
