Rolexrifleman,
I have a number of suppressed Glocks. Combined with the right can, they are a great pleasure to carry and shoot. The 19 is IMO the best choice (Army deployed 26 and 19, about one (1) "26" for every nine (9) "19"s, about $350,000 worth of barrels and cans). Most 9mms.
The 19 is the least fussy and balances well.
26 has the double spring and actually feels like more recoil. It is a bit fussy, a perfect set-up is required. A 19 barrel cannot be chopped down for a 26. Barrel must be perfectly in spec for thousands of rounds of great use. A properly fitted or pre tuned barreled is required. Speed tuning relieves all the added weight on the barrel/slide providing VERY little wear.
Use a titaniumn Abraxis with the 19. KKM precision makes a superb barrel. They are some of (the?) best barrels in the U.S. right now. Lone Wolf...FAC barrels, etc. NO, do not use them. Their blocks come in slightly over 10tho too tall. Abraxis is, by far, the most successful 9mm silencer ever sold to the U.S. military. So light, so perfectly balanced on the 19 that no Neilson device is required. Think about that.
Why the Abraxis? Although the Abraxis is designed to be fired wet, the dry performance is also remarkable for its size. Not only is it super small, 100% view of your sites. Weight is 3.5 ounces (what? Right!). Its dry, but you can run it with grease. Wet you'll recharge about once every two clips. Quiet, quiet, quiet.
19, least fussy.
Having said all that, I really like carrying the Glock 36 .45 with the Nexus III. All around perfection.
Here is a vid. You can hear the cooling fans, you can here the .45 hit the back, you can hear the shell bouncing on the floor. Much quieter than a .22. Scary Quiet. This is Gen 8 2010, Series III. Muffs on because not alone on the line.
