Squats, walking lunges, kettlebell swings, deadlifts, ab workouts, and sprints will solve that issue as well as knee and back issues due to pelvic tilt caused by uneven strength in opposing muscle groups.

Depending on age, your body's joints could be in that state due to lack of use. Once you get things moving again, your body will adapt by strengthening the cartilage, connective tissues, and bone structures in the areas.

No use = degradation due to no need for regeneration.

Use = regeneration due to the physiological need for self preservation and homeostasis.

There's a bunch of different ways to get back into physical condition without doing weighted exercises. Doing leg extensions and curls on a number of machines. Water resistance exercises help if you are really having problems. You will be amazed how fast things come back once you start using them again.

I used to work out a lot and then life happened.

I got fucked up in a wreck(and my animal incidents mentioned before) even when I played foot ball I was strong but my squats sucked.

I have to be real careful doing core work also. If I do slightly too much a disk in my back pops out. I'm too young to be this fucked up lol
