This doesn't sound right. New laws in Oregon typically kick in on April Fool's Day of the following year (interpret that as you will). The Oregonian reported over the weekend that is begins a month after the election is certified on December 15th. We will probably never get the permit system up and running because the state cops don't have the budget to establish the permit system until the next biennium.

I have a Walther PDP on order from these guys; they promised it by November 22nd. They better not be late.

Anyhoo, here's a picture of Kina Kai for some motivation.

A US World War II reenactment team visiting France for a D-Day memorial ceremony brings a fully restored M4A4 Sherman and guns it at full throttle along a public road, giving local residents a pleasant morning surprise. Another reenactor wearing an RAF uniform and pedalling a bicycle adds a nice touch to the scene...

The legacy continues:

Earlier we seen what the M4A4 Sherman was capable of in it's theater of operation. Now the present day US Army's legendary M2 Bradley hybrid APC, light tank, and mobile anti-tank platform is about to get an even more kickass upgrade. The Bradley's current 25mm autocannons, formidable weapons which have a 2 mile range, are to be replaced with the new Bushmaster XM913 50mm chain gun. The new gun features advanced computer controls and operating interface that is compatible with every computer program that the Army is using, enabling it to download the latest software updates for advanced ballistics, ammunition selection, programming of smart warheads for precise detonation at selected ranges, and environmental/obstacle calculations. The 50mm automatic gun has a 4 mile range and is far more powerful than the main guns of actual tanks used in WWI and WWII, with sustained repeat fire capability, computerized precision target tracking, and over 20 types of programmable smart ammunition selectable with the click of a mouse by the operator for antipersonnel, antidrone/antiaircraft, and tank killing purposes...

ETA: Some of the Bradley platform replacements such as the Griffin, features operators' compartments that more resembles the cockpit of a spaceship than a fighting vehicle, with almost fully computer enhanced controls that show the crew everything from outside operating conditions, to engine component wear and usage, communications and displays from the sensors of other vehicles on the battlefield, and infrared/FLIR tracking of everything on the battlefield.
