Could be worse, could be lightning.

Granted it’s probably the photographers fault, but whenever I see a picture like this or a woman sitting/standing on a counter top or something similar, I think “ damn they’re fucking stupid“ and I realize they know nothing about the way things are constructed.
Relax.

It was probably installed by some of those professional welders pictured above.

:)

Milled some Bois d' arc and mesquite. There will be a mesquite rifle stock in two years once the 2.5" slab dries out on stickers. I've got a shady spot in the wind. Just gotta wait on it.

The Mesquite came from Runnels County, TX, and the Boos d' arc came from my place in Fannin County, TX.

And I need to find someone to inlet for the barreled action. I have done that one time on a manual mill. I do not remember the hours, but it was a bunch.

If you want to know how to get slag in your boots, this is exactly how you do it.

That is the truth!! Once while welding overhead i had to close a half inch gap between the last two pieces. Nothing fancy just stick it together so it wouldn't move. Bead down one side, bead down the other, repeat. Got it down to 3/16" or so and pushed the rod in to finish it off. I'm under it and one of those big quarter inch slag cherrys falls off. I saw it coming but couldn't move fast enough. That thing went down the front of my bibs. I musta gasped or something because it fell down, past my belt and burnt a scar on my dick about 13 inches long.

Be careful out there.

Thank you,
MrSmith

You missed a decimal.
1.3"
At least that's what Mrs Smith says

Whatcha gonna do with that horse apple tree? Nothing was covered in bright yellow when you finished? Like everything you put in the washing machine with those work clothes.

I love to use bodark, but it isn't "sunshine stable" - itll go brown then to purple over time. Still cool as hell though. Very tough.

And you can collect environmentally friendly targets right from the tree!

Thank you,
