I think I'm owed an apology by the generations before me that let things get to where they are now.
I almost agree. For a more complete picture, IMHO study the Tytler Cycle.

All these maskers don’t have a clue what the mask is supposed to do. It goes beyond silliness and makes one wonder, just when did our education system go this bad that people cannot think for one minute for themselves.

One of my all time favorite subjects. In the middle 1980’s and into the 1990’s the federal government went well past out of its way to de-hospitalize both the mentally retarded and the mentally ill. Get them into the community, get community services. It saves money and gets those folks home where they will be happy and belong.

Well, the MR population pretty much took care of this situation their own selves. It cost the taxpayers a small fortune to provide 24/7 care for folks in need in their home.

But the mentally ill? No worries. Its up to the mentally ill person to make sure they get to their mental health appointments. its up to the mentally ill person to make sure they follow the treatment including taking the meds which alleviate their ailment.

I have done extensive work with people who are mentally ill. The Phenothiazine class of drugs leave the patient with a very unpleasant feeling. They have a difficult time explaining the feeling but They Don’t Like It, and unless you basically physically monitor their taking of these meds, They Won’t. So they don’t, they hallucinate, they have paranoia symptoms, they get a firearm and get rid of those pesky, nasty folks. Maybe they just like to kill.

But in the end, the government forced the nation to rid itself of Mental Health facilities and now they want to get rid of the tools that mentally ill people use to rid themselves of what they, the mentally ill, “think” is bothering them.

People die and the people responsible blame others. Sound familiar?
I must agree. The infamous "they" have no problems with violating Due Process for Red Flag laws but for MH???

Look! I’ve said this before, try not to upset our selfishness and apathy (and other’s dependence) with reality. Bread and games is all we need.

I know reality is hard for some folks, but if you don't call out the stupidity at every turn, you invite it to continue.

If you'd notice old man with gun hasn't responded, so calling out his stupidity worked.
This post aged well.
It’s almost as if you called him here by name, and he was expected to show up…

So thank you for that.

A willingness to argue with people who lack the ability to define the premise of any arguments, provide any supporting evidence and think fallacies of critical thinking is clever is a waste of time. But no need to denigrate those who lack the capacity to defend themselves. It wastes my time and frustrats the chorus of codependent conspirators. Oh, and since even basic fact checking is a mystery to so many here - denigrate means to speak damagingly of; criticize in a derogatory manner; sully; defame.
It's been over 30 years since dems lost a presidential election and didn't claim it was stolen.
Or have you forgotten.....
