I was not wanted at a body shop I worked at a while ago(I did have a bad attitude so I admit some fault). The guy who replaced me did this exact thing but to a BMW 3 series the week after I left
Saw it happen numerous times when I worked for a Mercedes dealer. Worst was on a special order 560 SEL that came in for its first service at 1000 miles. Wound up on the passengers side from full height.
Texas has castle doctrine as well. In all the times I have been pulled over I have rarely not been asked if I was armed and where it was.
Maybe they just think you're harmless.

A number of states are "constitutional carry" or "permitless carry", Texas among them. Not all states who are "constitutional carry" allow non-residents to carry without a permit, Texas does.
If you don't have a permit/license/whatever you can't legally take advantage of reciprocity in some states. But if you never leave your own state it's never an issue.
Ask Daniel Perry how that castle doctrine worked out for him.

Metro Atl. These were two post in ground lifts. It was always attributed to a poorly set lift and letting it down too fast. Started to vibrate and inattention. The arms would slip and BOOM!

LTC holders do ride and drive in other vehicles, not registered to them.

I'm there till someone deliberately does something stupid like pull in front of me to turn immediately or pulls out in front of me when there's 1/4mi behind me clear of traffic.
