My GOD man, that’s not beautiful, that’s GOD trying to get us all the free electricity that we need to run all of our electric stoves, electric vehicles, electric heaters, electric fireplaces. WE are jsut too stupid to understand how to utilize it. So Sad. Pixie Dust from Heaven and we just throw it away.
Social engineering is as real as weather modification. That is the actual populated suggestion list on google right now.
This one time at Knob Creek, a fella got to shoot a select-fire version of this after winning one of the competitions. It was very close to proving itself uncontrollable, at least in his hands. IIRC, dude got an assist from the gentleman that handed him the little HK. Seems like the shooters named rhymed with Choate.
Fingers look fine but the ear on the top girl ain''t right

I don’t think that is a real HK productThis one time at Knob Creek, a fella got to shoot a select-fire version of this after winning one of the competitions. Certainly not armchair quarterbacking here..... but would a 12-gauge with beanbag rounds be another solution?Maybe cops weren’t the correct responders here.
Another one stuck. I'll be right there. Not all heroes wear capes.

I understand that. A crazy person running at me with a knife in each hand is probably going to face whatever I have in hand to defend myself. Just spitballing the idea that for mental health calls yet another solution could be available? Again, not faulting the officer she charged. She was suicidal - and knew how to expedite the outcome. There would have been a lot of solutions that did not involve killing her.
IF the person happened to have had any of those solutions on them and ready to deploy.
But if all you have is a gun and nothing else and have not prepared, well you might not have a choice when an insane woman is walking towards you dual wielding knives.
The Police are the wrong tool to use for mental illness events.
There should be properly trained and equipped professionals to help deal with mental health issues.
The police are pretty much always going to just be, kill everyone let the taxpayers pickup the tab.
Im all for questioning cops, outing cops, anything to reel in their behavior, but being charged at with not one, but two knives......Bang, bang....next story!Certainly not armchair quarterbacking here..... but would a 12-gauge with beanbag rounds be another solution?
Dept. policies gonna be to answer a certain level of force with like or greater response.Certainly not armchair quarterbacking here..... but would a 12-gauge with beanbag rounds be another solution?
But if all you have is a gun and nothing else and have not prepared,
A successful program in a nearby city has mental health crisis calls be taken by mental health specialists instead of police. Yes, she’s a hazard but I hate seeing how this ended.Certainly not armchair quarterbacking here..... but would a 12-gauge with beanbag rounds be another solution?
Note to self. Sumo deadlift is for pussies.
Y'all should take your ideas to the local police academy and see if they'll let up you run it as a training scenario with you as a role-player.That's the key.
If he had chosen taser and it didn't work she might (as slow as her fat ass was) close the distance before he could draw.
Two cops on the scene where one tries a taser and the other has deadly drawn and ready ... maybe. But it's not the kind of Cagney and Lacey shit to just be making up for the first time in the real.
How do new tactics get tested and implemented? Genuine question.Y'all should take your ideas to the local police academy and see if they'll let up you run it as a training scenario with you as a role-player.

Not every law enforcement officer has that at their disposal.Certainly not armchair quarterbacking here..... but would a 12-gauge with beanbag rounds be another solution?

It's a matter of the right tools, training and preparation for the job.
The police are not what you should be using for social services.
The police are not what you should be using for mental health episodes.

Valid points but nobody is going to spend money on training or a mental task force as long as an "acceptable" solution already exists.
