Cell phone use has nothing to do with car accidents. Same number of accidents and fatalities before and after cell phone use became widespread.
That is absolutely not true.

The number of vehicle accident fatalities peaked in the mid 1990's, then fell rapidly as frontal airbags became mandatory in the late 90's. They fell even further as advanced vehicles systems like antilock brakes, self-tensioning seat belts, side curtain airbags, lane departure warning, and auto braking features came online.

When cell phones, in particular texting, became common place the fatality rates started to rise again. Around 2016 cell phone related accidents surpassed drunk driving accidents.

That's pretty funny and all about the suburban dudes and all but...
I have a real hardon for people who would rather video tape something fucked up verses trying to stop it and helping someone out.

Camera man should have tried to stop him
Yes it was staged. Another video of the same truck just showed up. You can see the bed is collapsed from the tie down strap as the truck falls.

Although the number of deaths, and deaths relative to the total US population, declined over most of the previous two decades, the trend reversed in 2015 and continued to move upward in 2016 by 200%.

The number of accidents per capita has increased. That is percentage of drivers who had an accident. But OK same number.
How many 3rd world drivers with out any of learning we go through about the rules of our roads and how to drive, have been given licenses and/or have entered our country and are driving on our roads since 2016?

The only thing more amazing than your ignorance is your willingness to display it in public.

Same number of accidents before and after cellphones with more people on the road. Are you retarded on purpose or due to natural causes?

Just like with Covid, same number of people dying before Covid, during Covid, and after Covid. But the government wants us to believe that Covid killed all those people and we should take the safe and 95% effective vax.

I’m not saying cellphones do not contribute to distracted driving, just that cellphones are no different or worse than any other factor. They are not the thing people should panick over.

Normally I let this shit play out a bit longer to see if it will resolve itself but I woke up on the wrong side of your mom today.

Okay douche nozzle, let me splain something for your simple mind. I spent almost 40 years in the auto insurance and collision repair indistry, 30 of that working for the largest auto insurer in the world. Auto insurance companies track everything loss related to see if any trends exist, what is causing it and what can fix it.

You are spouting one single statistic, accident frequency, while you gloss over accident severity. Accident frequency per capita is trending down due to advanced vehicle systems, while severity has increased dramatically, especially among young women. What caused fatalities to decline, the advent of airbags, vehicle construction, and other advanced safety systems. What caused fatalities to rise again, that coincides directly with the explosion of cell phone usage, especially after texting became common place. Sometime around 2016 cell phone usage surpassed drunk driving in fatal accidents, partially because cell phone usage was on the rise and numerous campaigns nationwide were successful in lowering the number of drunk drivers on the road. The fatalities have somewhat leveled off the last couple of years due to states passing laws prohibiting the use of cell phones while driving, even with hands free systems. Myself being involved in handling fatality claims saw in almost every loss the responsible party denied cell phone usage at the time of the accident, while the vast majority of those had actually been talking on their phone, or sent or received a text with seconds of the accident. This was discovered when either the police pulled their cell phone records or we did it as part of discovery during litigation.

I am not sure why you tried to segway into vaxxing but that's buried in your pea brain under your tinfoil hat.

Now penance is due to the King and Master of the MPT @Dirty D for this unnecessary banter.
