Love old tractors! Model A??? Can’t really tell by pic. Still cool to see old iron still running! Thanks!!
The tractor is 1940 1/2 “B” model based on the serial number. John Deere. The “A” was a more powerful tractor by about 6-8 horsepower. The B puts out 16 shaft horsepower.

Per my brother.

Still cool , thanks for the reply! Love the old popping Johnie’s! Spent many hours cultivating corn on a JD 60, that two cylinder was hard to stay awake listening two after 5-6 hrs, especially if corn was only 6-10 inches and using shields ( only old farmers will know what they are) still, good memories of simpler times.

You got it wrong. I subscribe to the fruit company. After years of writing apps for and working with MSDOS and its child, Windows, I find he furit company a whole step above MS and its operating systems. Now, I really should move on to Linux, but getting too old worry with more major changes.

So, I think the fruit company (Apple) is where we should be IF they move production back to America.

I was on Linux for the home machine for years, many years.

But a recent job change requires me to use a Citrix VDI. The VDI, sadly, works best on Windoz and worst on Linux or maybe just the flavor of Linux I had. The friut company is where I landed for app compatibility. Works not quite as good as Windoz but it's not Windoz.
