Gunsmithing Mounting a scope on an AR15

[mdesign]

I have a flattop AR carbine and want to mount a scope on it for hunting. It seems that standard rings are way to low and so I either need a much taller set of rings or some sort of a spacer block so the standard rings will work.

Can anyone help me on this?

I used Leupold Mk4 Super High rings before swapping over to a KAC single pc mount. Some might get away with High rings but it depends on your preference / facial build / ergonomics. It worked well for me, didn't require a riser, and was reasonable to buy.
