Looking to do a bighorn and MPA build and I have a few questions.

What tang is is recommended for drop in fit or do all of them fit, just the heavy sits proud? I had a SR2 that sat proud on my EH1, no big deal. Leaning towards the medium for this build.

Im interested in the bugnut system so I could put it together, save a little money and try to cut down on time waiting on smith. I'm already set up with barrel vise for other rifles. I understand advantages of a shouldered barrel but how are wait times with the guys that can spin up barrels without the action? Is there issue with the nut and the rail on the TL3? The rifle is for my BIL so we would only be changing the barrel when it is shot out.

How hard is it to fit the Tubb T7T trigger to this combo or if any milling needed is it straight forward? Any other 2 stage triggers that are LH and drop in? Otherwise we will consider single stage options.

    Thanks for for the help.

Josh Kunz at Patriot Valley Arms (PVA) built my TL3 in a MPA Chassis. The rifle is an absolute hammer and his work is awesome!

His default is a medium tang unless other wise requested by the customer. It looks good in the chassis, not too thick / not too thin.

PVA (and others) can spin up barrels for a BigHorn without the action. No nut needed. This is the way I went. Josh just delivered me a 6BR barrel and it took me all of 10 min. to swap.

I am also a two stage trigger fan. Skip the Tubb. I run a Timney Calvin Elite Two Stage and really like it.

Good feedback. I know Josh does awesome work. Any idea on his turn around time now that he's gone full time?

Im not sure if the Timney CE comes in LH but Josh could probably mill the action to fit.

    Thanks.

I dropped a Tubb in my TL3 and it is perfect. I don't have a single bad thing to say about it and I have been through all the 2 stage triggers out there to include the Bix N Andy.

The Tubb triggers took a little bit of work to fit in my TL2, but it was very simple.
