My local dealer has a MPA 6.5 CM Competition model for sale, they actually have 2 for $2559. I have spoke to the owner of the store and have him down to $2400.
To me this sounds like a great deal, am I wrong?
I don't think I could build a rifle like this for that amount.

Yes, that's pretty good. I almost bought in at $2416 but resisted (I've since gone a slightly different route on an MPA chassis). I haven't seen this rifle NEW at lower than $2400. Maybe others have.

I’ve got an MPA 6.5 with a defiance action. It’s certainly not a light rifle by any means but it is easily the best shooter I have. Everything is purposely built and they come out with updates all the time. The price isn’t bad. If I had to pick any one of my bolt gun, it would be my MPA. I’ve got a MUT and a 308 and a 6.5 (last two with the comp chassis) and the 6.5 is my go to. You won’t be sorry.

They're solid guns, and they come with a 3/8 MOA guarantee too. I'm a fan of the Curtis Custom actions even if they wouldn't be what I'd buy if money was no object, they're smooth and the bolt lift on an Axiom I felt was every bit as light as something like a Bighorn or a Lone Peak.
