Hero or not, I would have a hard time believing that the next few months won't be the most lucrative of his life so far. I wonder if he has been approached by the guncontrol lobby and offered a position as a paid spokesman.

I dont need some "think tank" to tell me that was his motive. With in 24hrs i had come to that conclusion and had said has much to my wife and family.

As for as Campos, i think there is something a little fishy there. Not sturgeon fishy more like anchovy. I am not sure he is the "hero" he is being portrayed as and he knows it. He is trying to keep his story in the context that keeps the myth intact.

We like heros, they make us feel good. But in this case i am not sure he had any affect on the out come. Which is fine it doesn't change what happened.

I am not big on conspiracies. They get to complicated. They work in movies because there ia a script that EVERYONE follows. In the real world it isn't that simple. I can't remember who said it but " a plan only survives until first contact". Even with the most noble cause there are people who talk or mess up.

What did he really do? Based on all said: He was doing his job. He got shot. He notified management. He warned the engineer and the guest. He stood by until the police presence arrived. He did his job.
Now, with the poor reporting by the news, he became a controversial figure. Wasn't his fault the 6 minutes deal.... see paragraph 1...
Tin foil people accused him of possibly being a co-conspirator. Then he disappears, and the news makes a big deal of it.
Is he a problem, no.
