I am in the process of ordering my suppressor. The suppressor will be used on at least 3 rifles. I like the 30BA but I wonder if the extra $135 for the brake is worth it. I am starting to think that I might need a 30P1. If I get a new rifle then I would have to get it threaded and then buy and extra $135 brake.

Any thoughts?

Like Zak said, but adding, as long as all three rifles CAN be threaded 5/8-24 I assume then the P-1 is a better choice.

The BA is about an ounce lighter without the brake, but it jumps up to 1.5oz heavier if you add the brake. I cant tell any difference in sound between the two, and Im sure there is no difference in accuracy. I did get a POI shift between my P-1 and BA, but that can be down to several variables...and it wasnt much, unfortunately it was the wrong direction (had to dial up).

At this point it may seem like it will be your one and only can, but you will probably decide otherwise once you receive it.

I run a 30P-1 on 2 different guns. Only reason why I haven't bought another suppressor is that it's hard to find one that is better!

I think I am gonna go witha 30P-1. This because When I get a new rifle I will only need to have it threaded and not have to get an extra brake.

I really like the 30BA. I guess if I was gonna used it on two rifles it'd be fine but when you go to 3+ thats a lot of extra dollars in brakes.

Im in that boat right now and I really need to decide tomorrow...30P-1 or 30BA. I just dont know which one to get and also plan to have a 338 suppressor one day so the idea of being able to use it also is hanging me up

Re: Mutiple host TBAC 30-P1 or 30 BA

we are going with the 30BA's, easier to take on and off my rifle when I take it in and out of my packs... I'll have a couple other brakes on my other 30's.

I tell the guy today...I quess I will get a 30BA and I already have a thread mounting thundertrap. I also figure if the break is user mountable I cant swap them fairly easily as long as I have extra peel washers. I have other worries to like maybe one day not being able to get breaks for whatever reason. I dunno I guess Im still leaning 30BA

Re: Mutiple host TBAC 30-P1 or 30 BA

Also would a 30ba have a longer life span due to the fact that the first blast of pressure is hitting a hardened stainless break which is replaceable vs titanium in the 30P-1. Like I said above about gettIng breaks, if I can't anymore for whatever unforeseen reason could a good machinest make one and at what cost?

I'm waiting on my form 4, it's pending, for a P1. Was in same situation, and will be running it on 3 as well. To me, a few seconds of twisting means nothing, but less parts to affect POI. Not concerned about shooting it out either, which is kind of why its 100% Ti, plus weight reduction.

...anyone shoot one out yet? Chime in. I've read a few guys here putting thousands through with zero change in peformance.
