There isn't a more minimal way to carry a pistol iwb than no holster, but that isn't practical, safe or secure. I feel that I have fixed that problem. I made a kydex clip the covers your trigger with a signature kydex snap but also provides a belt clip for iwb carry. I have been testing this holster out for a bit and have been very please with it. Let me know what u think.

The kydex provides good "snap" retention around the trigger gaurd, that combined with the belt clip and the natural pressure from being tucked make it very secure.

I got a chance to test it out today... it serves its purpose very well and not big and bulky like most IWB holsters.

Interesting.

The only negative I can see is the clip is in the way of getting a full natural grip on the gun, but otherwise it's cool.

I know Raven is selling something very similar now too.

I like it. That's been my problem with holsters in general, how bulky they all are.

This is a first gen model I put together for testing the design, its working good put like most things it can always be improved. I have received some great feedback on some things that I can tweak to improve design and function. I will try and get the updated version together this week.

I have seen a few of those designs, but I wanted a holster that was as stremlined but gave some belt support to the pistol itself

Make that a "J" hook so it goes under the belt and hooks! Still slips over the pants and under the belt, even more concealed. Just a thought!

That's what I asked when he first told me about it... but to my surprise you are able to click it back in like a normal retention holster with very minimal effort. With a little practice I'm sure it would be no problem at all once you get the feel for where exactly to push the gun back into the clip

I guess my one concern would be at the drawing, firing, then reholstering. I bet a hot barrel is not going to be too pleasant.

Besides if your biggest worry is about burning your junk after haveing to pull your pistol for the intended use for the holster I would call that a win!

Its about training and muscle memory. I'm not knocking your design, just something to take into consideration.

For polymer guns, it seems like you are on a good trac to a damned nice new idea. For 1911s or something else thats steel, I would be worried about the sweat and salt off of the body causing problems.
