Oh for sure a fart is WAY funnier now to me than it was 40 years ago. Especially since they often surprise me. When dementia sets in one day I will not need any supervision just give me gassy foods and check on me every few days.

It is literally crawling along at below 10 miles per hour. Last update from NOAA it is still hammering the Bahamas big time. 'Catastrophic' flooding being reported. This is going to be bad for anywhere that this thing eventually reaches. The amount of rain that a hurricane this powerful can drop within a single hour is no laughing matter.

Back in 69 after Camille devastated the Gulf Coast she moved overland and dropped 32" of water in 6 hours inthe mt's. of Nelson County Virginia. Washed whole clans and families away, death toll of 129 I believe. My uncle was a State Trooper and did some of theS&R. Told a story about finding a hand and forearm sticking out of the mud, the rest was buried.

Outermost rain bands are expected to brush past the tri-state area tomorrow afternoon. Some places might be getting 40+ MPH gusts and a bit of precip. Nothing too serious.
