Hey this is my first post but I need some advice from some experts,

I want to get into f-class and tactical field style shooting, and I figure I might as well go for the end game rifle instead of buying a starter and wasting money from there.

I recently saw an add for a Sako TRG 22, the description had this:

"Complete with Schmidt and Bender 3-12x50 LP PM II. Has custom Xtek CNC machined 34mm mounts, standard black army stock, custom 13 milrad rail, 5 mags, Custom laser fitted Pelican 1750 case, Sako bipod, TAB Sling, Allen keys, Horus ASLI, Picatinny rails and cleaning rod. Cost $14,150 new, only fired 247 rounds"

He is selling it for $8400 Australian Dollars

Is this worth the money?

1- As above, call EuroOptic. They'll hook you up.
2- It is in Australia which means...
2a- Shipping's gonna be a bitch
2b- Per Google Finance, the $8,400 AUD is $8,964 USD

Re: Need a second opinion on a Sako TRG 42

Theres one on used guns at the moment for $4995 and it come with Sako muzzle brake and bipod, Optilock rings, hard case and Leupold Mark 4 8.5-25x50 LR/T Mil- Dot scope.

Unfortunately TRG's are expensive here and an absolute bitch to try and personally import due to our oppressive gun laws.

Oh and it's a 42 in .300WM

Get a 308. Pleasure to shoot and you will shoot it a LOT.

TRG is a great rifle. Thats a lot more than it would cost in the states. All you can do is shop around.
