Need fast decision help w/MRP 18" SS

Hello, I've recently been in the market for a SPR "type" build. I've been looking at either a BCM, or a VLTOR VIS Centurion Arms. Now I have a chance at picking up a MRP 18" SS 1/7 rifle length upper, used for $1100. It has 750 rounds through it.
I respect the mass amounts of experience here and wanted to get a concesius on this. I'd like to pick this up ASAP if it's worth it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Is that for the whole rifle or just the upper? Seems a bit expensive to me.

I built an "SPR" rifle using a white oak barrel for less than that and it was/is a very nice rifle.

This is for the upper only. And I know there are cheaper options out there, but these are what I've been considering.

With glass? What kind of brake? Seems high. You can get a white oak barrel spr 18" for $400.

Thanks guys. I've decided to go with the Centurion Arms VLTOR VIS SPR that Bigjoe posted about.

Given it was in like new condition, I would have jumped on it for sure...nothing like a stretch MRP chassis, and a Rock 5R SS 16"/18" combo imho.
