If you like Sherlock, Dracula, by the same production team, will grab you.

Much darker, very graphic, with that same oblique angle depiction of the original characters.

First episode down, I'm hooked; if I have the stomach for it...

I think they're following the same sequence as Sherlock, where they put it all into just a smaller number of episodes per season.

That worked quite well for them with Sherlock.

Finished the first season. Like Sherlock, they took a lot of liberty with the basic characters, but the structure still runs like stoker.

Not going to do any spoilers, but it's different...; and I get the part about Gatiss.

It would appear that the story arc for season 2 should be a complete question mark.

They have been so many Vampire and dracula movies and series, Why should anyone what this ?

I would agree, but then I saw them bring out Sherlock; and I've been a lifelong fan of the Sherlock Holmes genre. Sherlock is the best Holmes, by a country mile.

Different, quite; but undeniably Holmes.

Much similar in this Dracula.

...And yes, the first episode was really El Creepo Grande. The the other episodes were over the top and rather far further on down the reverse slope.

Me; I would have binned the second two episodes and redone them in a less baffling manner, especially without the time travel(?). I can only surmise that this was done preparatory to a second season. When they left me hanging, they left me HANGING!
