New Applied Ballistics® Quantum™ APP! - & It's Free!

i have ran into an issue with my Sig Kilo 10k Gen2s. If I am connected to the ABQ my 10Ks range and give a solution but will not auto shutdown. When I disconnect or force close ABQ the 10Ks range and give a solution and then auto shutdown after the preset time. Anyone else seen this! And of course I learn this while on an Elk hunt in Wyoming!

Their is a setting in AB Quantum "Stay Connected" in the settings. Do you have this set to on?

Does anyone know what the values of the WEZ confidence parameters are supposed to be, actual values or the SD of the values? In particular muzzle velocity?

Watching the video on the AB YouTube channel it says that most of then are SDs rather than actual values, but it doesn't show thi in the app.

I'm playing around with the WEZ and the MV appears like ot should be SD, but playing with inputs vs my recent data from shooting it seems more like it is ES

This is my fav bug in quantum. When I accidentally hit the Bluetooth devices button, this screen comes up and refuses to leave. click either settings and cancel does nothing. Force close app and reopen and it opens to this screen.

Need to enable the cancel button

It is what you want it to be. That's the whole point of WEZ. Say you are solid on wind call, range, temp, etc and uncertainty exists for muzzle velocity. You can vary that uncertainty to determine probability of a hit. Look at the app and go to WEZ in the Controllers drop down. You can see hard coded values for low, medium and high confidence levels. Those uncertainties for mv at the defined confidence levels high, med, low are 20 fps, 15 fps and 10 fps. Hope this helps.

I used actual MV before I paid attention to the videos... and the WEZ output was nonsensical to me. Then I watched the videos, used SDs, and output was far more reasonable.

My $.02.

I think it is SD rather than ES, now I've played with it some more.

It'd be nice if it told you what to use in the app itself, maybe through a WEZ help page or something.
As per the video most inputs are SD but some are the actual error, and the video of YouTube doesn't make it super clear which is which, and having to go to a video to check isn't always possible.

I’ve watched one of the videos on how to connect a kestrel to the app. Also showing how to stream live wind. In the video, the app shows a “stream wind” button under the clock. I don’t have that button showing on my Quantum app. It’s in Elite mode and I’m using a Kestrel Elite AB with 1.57 fw.
