Just figured I'd post this. Apologies for the addition to an already voluminous list of pretty rifles being shown off, sitting in a law school seminar bored out of my mind.

Without further ado, welcome to the family. Stag 6h upper receiver mounted to my Stag 8 lower, changed out the stock to a Falcon F93 (old Magpul M93 design), changed grip out to Hogue, installed RRA two-match trigger, and added my old Vortex 4-16x50 in the interim. Also threw on my old cheapie Caldwell Bipod (the Harris is reserved for the 308).

BC covers on the way, but I have a box of Hornady 75 BTHP match factory ammo, as well as a box of OneShot 77gr SMK ammo to break in and compare to my upcoming handloads. Planned loads are 50gr V-Max's with 26-28gr of H335, and Hornady 75gr BTHP's in front of 23.5-25.5 gr of Alliant 2000MR. The hope is to get at least an accurate 2875 FPS, make it a warm weather 1k load.

I will post chrono numbers and group results once done. It may be a little while, since my son Jack was born last week and we are still in the "baby break-in" period, but I promise I will be prompt. LOL, sorry, had to attach a pic of him as well. Suddenly rifles and shooting have dropped in priority due to the baby. That is, at least until he's old enough to join me! Already have his 6th birthday 22 LR picked out!

Re: New AR upper and upgrades to share

Congratulations on the new son!!

Mine just turned 5 and is ringing 45% steel ipsic targets at 50 yards real reliably from several positions (no reason to wait for 6). I think you and your son are both in for a lot of fun
