Just got new set of USMC 34mm, how is the best way to remove the storage grease on 'em? Figured I'd let 'em soak in dish washing fluid for a bit...

Funny, I just mounted two sets of new BO rings today and had to deal with the preservative coating. I used alcohol, a rag, and a small amount of elbow grease.

I use a degreaser, then go over them with alcohol while using latex gloves so I don't get the oils from my hands on them. I also go over the areas of the scope that will contact the rings with the alcohol.

What up Gordy. Almost man, just need my skins back from freedomgraphix, had 'em dipped multi-cam. Gonna get her all rigged up tomorrow though. Will put up pics.

Used some of my trusty Blue Armadillo bore cleaner...perfect, thanks all for the input. May have to slap some oil on 'em now. lol.

couple shots of Gun Scrubber and then follow with Eezox oil.... use an old rag to apply.

I'm OCD hard man. Still waiting for my skins to come back from being dipped. Once I have everything in place, gonna savor the last few steps. Feels like I'm nearing the end of a journey...
