I received my new GAP Crusader last week but had to wait on UPS to deliver the scope and reloading equipment (new dies, brass, bullets, etc). I was able to spend a couple of hours today at the range and feel that I accomplished a lot. I am following the GAP break-in procedure to the T. I only had time for three shots today. I plan to finish the break-in tomorrow. I was very surprised by how little the copper fouling was. It took no more than two passes with the copper solvent to get a clean patch. However, I was able to get the gun on paper on my second shot. The third shot was 2 moa left and 1 moa high. The scope is a NIGHTFORCE NXS 12-42 X 56mm with 1/8 moa adjustments and the NP-R2 recticles. I already like this gun!

Nice rifle and reloading setup. Just curious, when you use your press on the dillon mount do you get any flex on the top brace of the mount from your press if you full length size brass?

Nice! I recently took delivery of a Crusader too! Man you dropped some serious cash all at once. I did the 10 round break in and now I'm just shooting it.

Re: New GAP Crusader 308

The press is a Redding Big Boss II mounted on the Dillon Stong Mount. It is rock solid! No flex. I am loading .223, .308, and 300 Win Mag with no problems. Dillon sells three different Stong Mounts for their presses. I bought the one that was the tallest and it gives me just enought clearance to work properly.

Right now I'm just shooting FGMM 168 BTHP. I have shot a .111 and a .230 with the Federal Match. Most groups are under 1/2 moa. I'm getting ready to order some Lapua brass. I like 44 gr. of Varget 168 Hornady Amax. and cci br2 primers. I shot a few thru this rifle, they shot below 3/8moa but I haven't shot enough of them to get a real feel for what they can do.
