Looking for new holster suggestions for my Glock 26. Been using a N82 original for the past 6ish years and it’s time for a new holster. So far I’m liking the stealth gear ventcore mini if anyone has experience with these but am open to suggestions. Want something fairly sweatproof that won’t put gun on skin. Thanks.

It only lasted six years?

Look at Milt Sparks VM2. I have one for a G26/27 and it just can't be beat. Been using it for over fifteen years and it's still in as good shape as it was when new, save some wear marks of course. Has a steel band on the lip so it draws and reholsters the same every time and has proper retention. I can still hold it upside down and it won't fall out, draws slick. Can be tucked if you get the clips. You can spend more for Del Fatti or Alessi but the quality of the VM2 is on par with all the best. I have three of 'em now and I feel the rig is more important than the firearm choice (within reason of course and G26 is well within reason).

If you don't have a real gun belt, then I'd advise going ahead and getting one from Milt Sparks when you order the pistol. A good gun belt should last a lifetime. The cheap ass Galco with the plastic insert in will get the job done but for $50... Spend another $50 and get one that'll last a lifetime. VM2 holster was around $100 or so some years back, probably a little more now but I doubt much more.

Here's one below for a 1006, a bit big/heavy for a carry pistol truth be told and it's never really been worn so that's why it's brand new looking. But the VM2 will hide it. G26 version ain't as big or long of course. Works best with small pistols or thin pistols --it'll hide this 1006 no problem since the grip is thin and length doesn't matter too much with these IME. I have one for G29 too but it's a bit thick and heavier, it works but not as good as the one for the G27, which is just perfect. But this'll give you an idea of what it looks like. Loops on either side keep the profile down, weapon doesn't touch skin and they're sweat/waterproof (mine are horesehide but I'm not sure they use that anymore). The mag carrier offsets weight some, now they make 'em to carry one mag and a flashlight if you want. A t-shirt will conceal this (with a good gun belt that is). Rig doesn't move and it's comfortable to wear all day --key for daily carry or you won't wanna wear it. Comfortable to sit with it and can draw relatively well seated in a car if need be (that may depend on the person though). They'll do some custom work too, different angles, height and drop and what not.

VM2 is the easy choice if you have a Glock though, that's a fact.

Definitely invest in a solid daily carry belt, it will make things so much better. I remember when I got my first one, it was night and day difference. For holsters I've been using a Comp-Tac Infidel Ultramax. Hybrid leather and kydex. So far it has held up great for six plus years carrying everyday all day and replacement parts or new shells for different guns are easy to order and not expensive.

Pointed this out in another thread, Milt Sparks has a page of ready to ship holsters for a small premium over regular prices. The quality is identical to the other holsters and the choice of color and firearm is limited. I bought a mag pouch for a Glock and paid about fifteen dollars more than waiting in line.
