Hello everyone!

I just have a quick question regarding my new (to me) rifle. I bought this off an older gentleman for one hell of a price and absolutely love it! She is in great condition and she has 17 rounds down the tube (3 were me). She is factory stamped from Remington with the final assembly date of September 27, 1977.

My question:
What is the twist rate on this rifle? I searched and couldn't find anything exactly. I figure she might be the same as many other M700s (1/9.25), but thought I should ask first.

I plan on using her as another whitetail rifle and will probably be shooting 168VLDs. I just wanted to get your opinions on what the rate may be before I pick a bullet to start on.

Thank you for you help!

My regards,
Cameron

**Sorry if this is the wrong section, I thought the question was more so related to the rifle than reloading.**

Re: Twist rate - If you know the length of the barrel, use your cleaning rod and count the number of times it rotates as you push it through the barrel, then it's simple maths to work it out.
