As usual pics don't do it justice, these are taken with a cellphone, it blends in quite nicely.

And After load testing, 33.4gr H380 under a 69gr SMK=

Not too shabby, only took a week for the smith to chamber, true, and cerakote the barrel, action, and bottom metal. I am very pleased with it.

Hope you all enjoy!!

Re: "New" Toy

Thanks, prairie dogs and yotes beware. This is my first aftermarket barrel, and all I can say is wow! So much easier to clean, hardly any fouling, smooth as silk. The wait was definitely worth it!!

Re: "New" Toy

I have yet to clean any of the aftermarket barrels on my guns. Glad to hear cleaning will be easy when the time comes

Great shooting and sweet rifle. Awesome that the gunsmith completed the work so quickly and to such great results. I wish they were all that quick. Congrats all around.

Re: "New" Toy

Yep, gonna destroy some p-dogs this weekend. Hopefully there be a yote or two in the mix!

Gonna try to stretch her legs out to 500m this week, get my dope, and actually chrono the load as well. Thanks again guys!

Nice paint!

How did you do the pattern? Did you cut out vinyl by hand, or did you use tape?

I cut vinyl on a similar paint job. It took hours cutting the paint.

Thanks, I used stencils from this guy----catalog.bulldogarms.com He has many patterns to choose from.

They come off very easy and leave a nice sharp edge. They are pretty cheap too, ship fast.

Basically, spray a color stick on stencils, spray another one, stencil...etc. This is my fourth paint job. I had to redo this one, because it came out shitty the first time. Thanks for the comment!
