NewB with Remington 700PSS

Just bought myself a remington 700PSS .308 26" HB. Looking forward to replaced the HS stock on it with an ACIS stock and NF glass. It'll be awhile before I can get everything done but it will be done.

I forgot to introduce myself. I'm 29 yr old from Oklahoma city, I work for the USAF as a civilian. Been wanting to learn how to shoot long range and that's the reason brought me here.

See if you can get behind a AICS just to make sure you like it. I found it didn't fit me like I like so I sold mine. Most people love them,and a handful just don't dig them.

Welcome! This place is a wealth of knowledge and it'll probably end up costing you a fortune as well! I know it has me!! LOL. Unless you just hate the HS Precision stock, I wouldn't be in too big of hurry to replace it. Personally I love the stocks that are on the 700P's. Very capable stock for the money IMHO.

hahaha thanks for the warm welcome guys. I'm not really a big fan of HS stock, I don't know why. I will let you guys know when I decide to sell the HS, I'm interested in ACIS and McMillan stocks.... Sure, this place is gonna cost me a fortune if I want to play a long range shooting game. I'm sure it will because I have seen some of the LR rifle in the photo forum...

Manners stocks have stepped up the game with their stocks don't surpass them. I own a McM and love it, but I hear lots of good stuff with Manners also.

+1 on pss stocks I love the swell palm I got big hands and it fits great. They def not a bad rig

Congrats on the Pss it was my first starter rifle too but back when
I started. I thought longerange though was 200 yds.
