Finally a little innovation, if I do say so myself!

TJ at Tiger Valley teamed up with LineStretch and designed the Tiger Valley Sling Bag.

You thread your sling thru the webbing on the bag, velcro it to your sling swivel and voila! its always right there under the rear of your rifle.

Weighs a mere 6 oz

Also works with side mounted slings, just use you sling's triglide as a stop, instead of velcro-ing to the swivel.

This isnt designed as a replacement for your rear bag. If you have time to get all bagged in, go for it. But if you need a quick support thats right there, this is the ticket!

Re: Newest thing in Rear Bags!

Like TJ said, the fill is a lightweight polybead. The material is medium weight cordura. Durable and wont soak up water.

Also, it should be noted that the sling can still be used for slinging the rifle, hasty slinging, or shooting from a standard sling position and the bag isnt in the way.

Re: Newest thing in Rear Bags!

That's a pretty clever idea indeed....and I wish 'em luck with a cool new product.

But, if I don't have a bag, or don't have the time to bag up, my fist has always been attached to my arm, and it's never ever not worked.....

The one TJ has listed on the TV website as 'desert' is multicam

Re: Newest thing in Rear Bags!

CJ,

Could you post some more detailed pictures on how you have the sling threaded through the bag? The sleeve isn't wide enough for the tri-glide keeper on my TAB sling to pass through so I am going to have to get creative with this thing.

BTW awesome concept, I have been running a TAB rear bag threaded through my sling to always have it on the rifle. This way I am not fiddlefucking around trying to find it and get it into position.

The tri glide shouldnt be threaded thru the webbing. It stays on the 'bottom' side of the bag. I think I have a pic at the house that will show that.

Edit: The top photo clearly shows the tri-glide under the bag. Move the tri-glide down, pull the swivel thru and youre good to go. If you need more help gimme a call.

Re: Newest thing in Rear Bags!

Great idea.

I been thinking of invading the tactical stuff myself. I figure the market can hold one more and the community will be better off with another tactical company. My idea is superb too. I am going to contract with the upper stae mountain hillbillys for low labor rates, get the hillbilly community to transport for low movement costs, then get the smart hillbillys to think of other great stuff to sell as tactical.
Think there's room for one more CJ?

We thought about that, but its more labor intensive to manufacture. May be one in the future tho.

Re: Newest thing in Rear Bags!

Thanks to the fast service I received a couple of sling bags right before a three day precision rifle course that I took. They are a bit of a pain in the ass to get on the sling but not overly complicated, just takes some fiddling to get everything where you want it.

I can tell you that it is staying on my rifle, it is exactly what is needed when making a shot under time compression. You will find that it is not as stable as a full size rear bag but a hell of a lot better than not having anything at all and it is fast!

With my TAB Gear sling the sling bag was installed right below the rear tail, just aft of the buckle. In this position I would fold the rear tail forward and locate the sling bag in front of the butt hook. This made the rifle very stable, although there was a bit more lateral movement as compared to using a full size TAB bag.

I dig it, two thumbs up!

I fly to Sydney, but can post onwards. Let me know.

Re: Newest thing in Rear Bags!

A rear bag addiction is quite problematic, and this is not helping. What's a guy supposed to do with all the bags that didn't make the cut? I've got about 4 or 5 that are in the fail bin. They're taking up space but I don't want to chuck them, or give them to the dogs to play with..

It *can* but you would have to get all the hardware out of the way. Buckles and triglides will not pass thru the webbing that attaches it to the sling
