I'm leaning toward buying a NF NXS 3.5 - 15 x 50 F1 (comes highly recommended from someone I trust), but I'm wondering if I can get away with the 2.5 - 10 x 32 (available with ZeroStop). Regular range is 100 - 300 yds with an occasional 1000 yd special event. (e.g., Vaportrail PSR course).

Is it true there is no parallax concern at 10x max?

Anyone seen both of these scopes?

My rifle is the 20" LWRC REPR

Thanks and good shooting!

Depends on your target size and what you will be shooting. Looking at you weapon selection, I assume bulk and size are not an issue and that you will be shooting mostly benchrest, bipod, or prone? If that is the case, and if you want to shoot up to 1000 yards, I would go with 3.5-15x or even 5.5-22x as it is only 1 to 2 ounces heavier than 3.5-15x. 10x is probably enough to hit a man sized target out to distances that you stated, but not enough for clear target identification.

Glad to help.

FYI, the 3.5-15x and 5.5-22x both can be ordered with Zero-stop. If this is a feature you want, would suggest getting it upfront, as you will have to send it back to Nightforce if you want to install later.

Also, 50mm objective is enough But if you want to do lowlight shooting 56mm objective is nice, if you don't mind a little slightly larger size.

Which reticle are you going to get, MOA or Mil?

Sounds good, id get a more "permanent" mounting solution. How often do you see yourself pulling the scope off the gun that you need a QD feature for?

Then suggest getting NF NXS 3.5-15x50 or 5.5-22x50 with Zero-stop. If you get Mil reticle, just make sure to order Mil turret adjustments.

Agree that more permanent mounting solution would be prefered, but LaRue QD mount is nice. The problem is every time you remove your scope and remount, the zero or scope can shift. The shift may be slight but will be more at longer distances. Nightforce makes a nice Unimount.
