Nice mod for mounting RRS Anvil 30 to Feisol legs

Just thought I would share this with anyone who wants to mount an Anvil-30 to Feisol tripod. In some other threads guys talked
about putting some type of schim around the RRS center platform mount because the Feisol is slightly bigger in diameter. IMO
this is a more stable option. ...............................

I unscrewed the 3/8 thread mounting bolt from the Feisol and turned it upside down & screwed in with red loctite . Then screwed the RRS
plate to the feisol plate ( snugs up nice & tight) . You can screw the Avil directly to the Feisol plate but it will loosen up. With RRS plate
you screw 4 bolts (included) directly to the anvil so it wont move . With my technique you utilize the factory plate to be used as it was
designed to and you even get a little more height for clearances .

Your way works, but I found that the RRS platform will drop into the Feisol bowl without a shim and by tightening the 3 allen head screws around the ring you can solidly fix the RRS platform in the Feisol bowl. I also took the 3/8 bolt off the Feisol platform, which had a hook at the bottom to hang something for weight, and installed it on the underside of the RRS platform.
