iam going to look for a review of them on youtube but how do they compair when setting them beside uso or zeiss/hensoldt

Re: nightforce iam new to them

Nightforce offers excellent scopes regardless of which model you are looking at. They have excellent glass, they are well-built to stand up to heavy use, and they track true and accurate.

In terms of comparing the glass...scopes by companies like S&B and Hensoldt take an edge over the NF as far as I am concerned, but at a substantially higher price tag. That said...there ain't nothin wrong with NF glass in my opinion!

Let us know what your intended use/purpose for the scope will be and what you are mounting it on and we can probably point you in the best direction.

Re: nightforce iam new to them

I currently own the 3.5x15x56 NXS. You will not go wrong with the larger magnification, but it depends on where you are gonna shoot.

In AZ, where I shoot, mirage is a big deal all the time. Anything above 15 power and the image gets washed out. If you are comparing apples to apples (Hensoldt vs. F1), you must be looking at a FFP scope and if that is the case, and it is only available in the 3.5x15x50. If you dont care if it is FFP or SFP you can go with the higher magnification.

Seeing as how you are shooting a semi-auto (gas system), I dont think you will need anything over the 15 power anyway, unless your looking for the tacticool factor. You will have more maneuverability with the 15 power scope.

When it comes to NF or any other high end brand, the glass is all better than what you expect. With that being said, in my opinion, the glass in the USO, S&B and yes, the Zeiss is better than the NF. Even though, I would not trade my NF for another scope right now or ever. I might buy another scope later, but the NF will outlast my gun, and probably me. I cant say that about other scopes in the same category. And the glass on the NF is still amazing!

You cant go wrong with them for the money!

Good Luck

Re: nightforce iam new to them

I have several NXS's and really really like them. I also have a Zeiss which is an excellent scope, but for a tactical scope with all the bells and whistles, the NF is the way to go.

The glass on my Zeiss and NF's are all similarly excellent, but the turrets, illuminated reticles, the reticles in general, the resiliency of the scopes to abuse, etc. etc. is why I have several NF's.

You are correct. Actually 1/10 mil per click.

Re: nightforce iam new to them

Seems you will be best suited for the 3.5-15. My NF is probably my favorite scope. Tough as nails, the reticles are among my favorite, and the turrets are solid and repeatable. I will definitely end up buying more of them. Also, in the event that you have to use the customer service, they will take good care of you.

Re: nightforce iam new to them

I used to think my leupold Vari X III 6.5-20x40 EFR couldn't be beat until I got my NightForce NXS 8-32x56 scope. S&B, Zeis might be a bit better but at a much greater price point. I can't tell the difference bewteen them. NightForce would be my choice with out a doubt.
