Rifle Scopes Nikon Tactical 2.5-10x44 scope? What's Nikon-Plex?

Hi, I'm trying to find some info on my new rifle (see my other post about .308 Remington 700 PSS in AICS 1.0) It came with a Nikon Tactical 2.5-10x44 scope. I can't find much info on it, and some websites say it's been discontinued.

Also it comes with "Nikon-plex" reticle, not mildot type. I was wondering what is "Nikon-plex"...it doesn't look anything special, just like regular cross hair. Is there something that I'm not seeing, such as range estimation, or BDC? Thanks.

Nope your not missing a thing. It's a standard duplex reticle, that's just thier name for it. Can you use it as a hold over device, sure. You just have to figure out how big it is.

nice scope, very good glass, and a review posted somewhere here in the hide showed it the best light transmission, like 94% or 95%.

Thanks. Am I missing something "tactical" if that scope doesn't have mildot? Actually I was looking forward to getting my first mildot scope.
