Hiders,

Per a conversation with Chris Thomas, the Heritage 5-25x56 will not be obtainable for about 3-4 months. It appears the material needed for the optical system is in short supply and/or priced exorbitantly.

The 3-15x50 will be available in the near future until supplies of parts are exhausted. We expect 2010 priced scope shipments the week after SHOT.

Thanks,

Scott

Maybe this has to do with the exchange rate between the USD and the Nunya Whoopie?? </div></div>

It means it will take @ 3-4 months to buy a new 5-25x56 scope...
He never said anything about broken scopes, warranty repairs.

So the word exhausted means tired instead of gone then??

Re: No Premier 5-25x56 for 3-4 months

Like ZOMBIE101 said, nothing was said about anything but the availability of new scopes. Geez, a company admits to some supply difficulties and some people act like the rivets are popping out of the Titanic.

Nothing like telling introducing a 15% price increase and then telling the customer it's going to be 3-4 months before they will even be available again.

I wonder how many 3-15's they have parts for before those dry up as well.

Worse yet 90% of the time 3-4 months in gun manufacturer time is about 7-8 months in the real world.

Hopefully whatever is holding up the process will work itself out quickly.

I wonder if a redesign of some sort is in the works, like makings on the paralex knob, sunshade introduction, and the ever falling dollar is screwing us Americans to our chicken shit knees.

15% I thought it was 10%

and 7-8 months? You making up some more numbers?

The old listed MSRP on premiers website was $2499, current is $2899 off the product PDF, however their new website doesn't seem to list MSRP anymore. That's 13.8% by my math. Effective price actually went up more if you figure the old price you could get compared to the new due the higher increase for dealer cost.

As for 7-8 months, can you read AND comprehend? As I said 90% of the time when a manufacturer tells you they will have something ready in 3-4 months it's usually much longer. Would you like some examples?

Badger M2008 short and long actions, first and second runs
Delivery of the first 5-25 PREPAID premier scopes by hide members
Delivery of the 3-15 premier to market
Magpul Pmags for the 308 platform
Atlas AICS and TRG bipod adapters

Are there legitimate reasons for those delays, sure, but it doesn't change the fact that when a company tells you it's going to be X months before something is avaialble it's usually significantly longer.

From what I have read on the intitial thread, it was 10% on MSRP and 25% to dealers for the price increase. To this day a lot of people still think it was 25% increase on the MSRP.

And those items you listed are for new products. The PH has been in production already. They are not reinventing the wheel here. Could it take longer? Sure, we don't know for sure.

Re: No Premier 5-25x56 for 3-4 months

Premier always listed both scopes for $2899 on their site. Check out Liberty Optics' or SWFA sites for the MSRP. And then call to see what they can do for you.

Re: No Premier 5-25x56 for 3-4 months

Good news for those of you that always knew that the PR's were in fact Made in Nun-ya!! Here's the plant!! I think the spelling has to do with it's location in TX and the accent or something??

Re: No Premier 5-25x56 for 3-4 months

I hope you are joking, otherwise you need to get your facts straight before posting.

Nan-Ya is a Taiwanese manufacture, and the plant you show is their invested US plant. I don't think it is the same as "Nun-Ya".
