Looking for different stock/chassis options for my 30 Nosler anybody know what footprint a Nosler M48 westerner has? Searches have turned up a 700 had sex with a Howa. Called Nosler bout a dozen times and can’t get ahold of anyone besides a very nice accountant that has no idea what I’m talking about.

Hi Keith-I am looking for the same information. Scope bases are Rem 700 as I have successfully used these on my Liberty M48. I posted this question on the Nosler forum and received responses that the Nosler M48 footprint is Howa 1500. This post was from a long time participant in the forum, but it is still "internet knowledge" as is this post. If you find something definitive, let me know. I am considering a MDT chassis, but hesitant to drop this kind of money not knowing if it will fit.

I finally got ahold of a guy at Nosler that said he was not aware of anyone that made an aftermarket stock for the M48 so custom inlet would be the only option. I asked him about the Howa and he said it has a similar look but doubted they would have the same fit up in a chassis. And yes I done the same with a 2 piece rail on top same bolt pattern just different length than the 700.

:(Bummer Keith. I am glad I didn't place that order to MDT. I guess I am sawing off 1" of stock to get the LOP I am looking for. With the accuracy of Nosler rifles, I am surprised no one makes a chassis for the M48. I am even more surprised Nosler doesn't do it themselves. All the replacement stocks I find don't go short enough or don't have the ability to cant the butt plate. Both of these are things I prefer. I guess I roll my own.
