Missed you guys last month. 6 weeks with no rifle shooting...ouch. The shot at 9:00 in the 7 ring was a f-up on my part, let it go while still getting set...very lucky it was on paper at all.It's hard going from 3.5lb shotgun trigger back to the 12oz annie. I had to get a 300 round in so aquabot wouldn't be all alone again.

I need to get me some 300 yard targets. I have a place to shoot with a 300, I just never end up shooting out that far.

Only had two days to shoot this month, so I only shot the 300. First day was very windy and good practice, but not great scores 233 3 x's and 235 7 x's. Second time out I had much better wind conditions and I shot two scores back to back 242 with 4x's followed by this score 242 with 6 X's.

The thing I am most proud of on the second target was that all my shots were vertically in the 10 ring. Hopefully I can get better at doping the wind and see some improvement.

Drove two hours to a 200 yard range only to find the wind blowing 12-15mph.

Here's my results from yesterday. Scaled targets and 100 meters. I learned that I should pay more attention to the facilities at 100m, and shoot more also (50m and 100m). Shooting prone from a forward slope isn't too nice.

This time I fired 2 sighters at a separate target, and instead holding off I clicked 2.3 MRAD up. It was too much, and I decided to hold off instead of trying to chase the POI with clicks. My biggest problem was that I didn't dare to hold off enough. Although conditions were quite nice, I had the same problem holding off for wind.

So all my hits are up and right from the X. A few shots I slipped outside of even the 2.5" ring. I used 5 separate combo targets, I try to post photos later.

October brought us one new shooter, HEYDOGMAN, whom posted some high scores out of the box. Welcome to the rimfire comps. Congratulations to all that place at the top of where they competed.

Obviously with hunting season and the weather change, participation was a bit low, but once acclaimated, I'm sure November will be spectacular.
